We went to a place northeast of Pittsburgh called, Ambridge, PA. There is a villiage there that is called Old Economy Villiage. It was a place that many people lived in. They were Harmonists. That was their name of their religion. It really showed us how they lived, went to school and how their homes were. They shared everything, furniture, food, clothing. They had orchards, a winery and clothing textiles. They were a thriving little villiage. IT was amazing and we all had a good time!
Mike was helping Jord at the stilts. Mike even got up and walked around on them. The kids were SOOO impressed!!
The kids all pumped water....Cate was really getting into it!
This is a garden in the back of the man's home that founded the Harmonists religion.
The kids had a chance to use a real ink and quill. They loved it, but it made us appreciate pencils and pens more. The picture below was like there trophy room. They had rooms of stuffed animals they hunted. This was a HUGE elk that's for sure.

This was their gathering hall, church and social function building. It was HUGE and the accusticts in it were amazing! They definitely knew what they were doing.

This was there winery. From the outside it was this tiny looking shed with a door. Then you walked down these very steep stairs and came to this. The barrels are HUGE and it was very well preserved. This winery was underneath the great hall. They criss crossed the building structure so it wouldn't cave in.
This is Tommy and racing....He was quick!
