Hershey, PA

Okay, so we went to Hershey Park....and it really DOES smell like CHOCOLATE!!! It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get there but well worth it!

The kids are standing next to the big candy signs because that is how they measure for the rides. So, for instance....Tommy could ride all the rides that has a Reese's on it. Jordan could ride the rides that had a Hershey bar on it and Caitlin could ride all the rides with Jolly Rancher's on it. The kids loved it and it was a clever way to measure the kids.

The kids did a little chocolate conveyer belt with Hershey kisses and then we went on a ride/tour of how they make the chocolate. They had singing cows and chocolate being stirred. It reminded me a lot of "It's a small world" ride.

Okay, Tommy is going to guide us and walk us through the park. He was definitely into the map holding.

Here are some of the rollercoasters we went on....needless to say, I can't do motion like the good 'ol days. But there was still fun had by all. We even talked Tommy into going on a rollercoaster called the "Loop 'D Looper". It actually has a loop that goes upside down for little kids to ride. Tommy wasn't too sure about it, but he sure liked saying "I rode the Loop 'D Looper!"

Here is everyone on the Music Express. You know the ride....the one that goes around and around and around with lots of music!

There is a part of the park where you can get wet. It's called the Boardwalk. If you stand right where all those people are.....on the other side there is a large boat ride that goes down this HUGE hill and the wave afterwards comes straight for those people! We did it several times, we got drenched but it was well worth it! It was so hot and muggy. Below is just after Cate and I stood there by the fence. Imagine a cold large bucket of water being thrown on you really hard, as you are just standing there. That is how it exactly was.

Here is Jord and Cate standing by one of Cate's FAVORITE candies. She was so excited to see it!

  1. Looks like so much fun. York Peppermint Patties are my favorite too.

  2. When Jon and I went back east, we ended up spending 2 days at Gettysburg and didn't go the Hershey's Park :(
