Tommy is earning his bear, and wanted Dad to come up with him and pin his Bear pin on him. He was pretty excited too!! The paint on his face represents friendship, loyalty, and I think, commitment. He was pretty calm, but so happy about moving on too! WAY TO GO TOMMY!
This was our big Blue and Gold Banquet, just a couple of weeks ago. Tommy moved over to Weblos and Jordan has now crossed "the bridge" into Boy Scouts!! YIKES! our boys are getting so huge!! I really wish the kids would ask permission about getting older, but you know they are so great and are doing what they need to do to become successful. Wow, that was a grownup sentence, believe me they are still every bit kids. But it's moments like this and pictures like this that you look at and say "holy cow Batman, where has the time gone?" (sorry about the red eye look, camera wasn't cooperating).
There was a guy that does this amazing Indian program and he came in and "called"each boy that was moving on, to accept the Arrow of Light and to become good men in the future. To remember what they have learned, and to continue to learn. It was very cool, the boys loved it. Jord is in the front, doing his Jordan grin. He put that sash on as fast as he could, he is soooo excited to be a Boy Scout! We are so proud of both boys!!!
