This is the path in the Sacred Grove. It is like staying on the straight and narrow path. Because there were a lot of poisonous plants such as, poison ivy, poison oak, etc. Those are like bad temptations. We want to stay on the path and reach Heavenly Father and Jesus. If you scroll all the way down you will understand.
This is an area in the Sacred Grove where you could have a little testimony meeting, my mom wanted a picture here because when she was a youth she went here and her youth class had a meeting here.
The Benches.
Of course Tommy and Jordan Both found sticks.
This is a little stream in the beginning of the sacred grove. I liked it.
These are morning Glory that were in the Sacred Grove.
This is a tree That Lucy Smith, the mother of the Smith Family planted and dedicated to Alvin Smith when he died.
Here is the tree.
This is a picture of me in front of the Palmyra Temple, mom wanted to get one because it was my first time doing baptisms for the dead.
This is the sacred Grove, well part of it. My friend Melina and I were talking and walking in the sacred grove following the path and said, " If only trees could talk, because they are so old they would have been in Joseph Smith's time and could tell us how wonderful it was", even though we already know. All of it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
This is a far away view of the sacred Grove. There is one clear window in the temple just for this view. All the others are stained glass. It was very extroridanary and beautiful.
This is the angel Moroni On top of the temple. Always so beautiful....
This is the grave of Alvin Smith.
We also went to the Print shop where the book of mormon was first made! It was amazing to see...
This is the Binding room Where they would bind together the pages of the book of mormon. It took 1 1/2 years to bind.
This is the printing room where they would print the written scripts. This took 7 months.
They had to use this giant pulley to move the pages from one floor to another because they were so heavy.
These are the Young Women with The Young Women President, Sister Sanchez. Left to Right: Laura Eichenmiller 13, Caitlin Snow 12, Erica Rockenbach 13, Melina Lalchan 16, Emily Lalchan 14, Kyra Weidman 14, and Sister Sanchez.
This is the Smith's Barn.
This is the House they moved into after they were living in the log cabin.
This is our group we went with, it is a good sized group right? We are standing in front of the Palmyra temple. It is in the far back in the trees.
This is the EXACT ATTIC that Joseph Smith saw the Angel Moroni in!The tour guide ( a sister missionary) asked me to bear my testimony of the book of mormon in the room. The room had a silent peace in it.
This is the log cabin that the Smith's built and lived in.Now that camping stuff that you will read next, is last weekend, this weekend we went to Palmyra, New York. It was originally a Youth Trip, then none of the Young Men could go, ( we only have like, four.) so it ended up being just the Young Women. Our family got to go too! It was probably the best experience of my life. I felt the spirit with me all weekend. It was the best feeling. I got to do Baptisms for the dead in the Palmyra Temple for my first time, which I loved. Any time go to the temple I feel great. We also got to see the Joseph Smith farm, and the sacred grove. The sacred grove was very, very beautiful. It was a wonderful feeling to know that Joseph Smith had actually knelt down and prayed in the exact same place you were walking in. It was peaceful. I know/ knew that it was all real. We also went to the Hill Cumorah which was amazing because that is where Joseph Smith found the plates. We just forgot our camera, oops! That was really amazing.
