Emerald Isle Part 1

Our big summer vacation had finally arrived!!!  We went to Emerald Isle, North Carolina!!  We rented a beach house and Grandma Snow came with.  She made me this beautiful beach blanket!  It is so pretty, too pretty to lay in the sand, but that is what she made it for, she said.  :)  I absolutely love it and will cherish it always!  All the work that went into it!  Thanks so much mom!!!  So we are off for a 12 hour drive, which we broke up into 2 day.  It actually took 10 hours to get there, and 12 to get home because of the traffic.  But what a trip!
Tommy's ears were cold from the air conditioning, so he put his dragon neck pillow like this.....it cracked me up so I had to take a picture.  Below is a grocery store in North Carolina, where we loaded up on food for the week!!!

"We are so close to the house, kids, hang in there!!!"
WE ARE HERE!  WE ARE HERE!!!
Our house was on Shell Drive.
It was such a pretty house and so close to the beach!!  Below is the board walk we would walk on just from the corner of the house.  We could hear the waves from the window!  It was heaven!!!!!

When we got there, the kids couldn't wait to try out boogie boarding!  So, we unpacked and headed out to the beach to give it a try!  They loved it!!

So, a successful first day and we were ready for a fabulous week!!!  In the back of the house is a shower area!  it is so cool, so I had to take pics!!

One of the many things I loved about this place is all the very colorful beach houses!!!  Here is a salmon colored home for starters.
It's Sunday, just got back from church and decided to fly kites.  It was a perfect day to do it!!

A storm was coming in.....better get going back.  Amazing clouds huh?  I love watching clouds!

Before the storm started we walked down to the pier.  Jordan and Grandma stayed home to relax.  It was a big pier and lots to see.
